Aphrodisiac

Our friend Alex’s birthday is this coming Tuesday so we spent the weekend celebrating. Saturday we went to a pool at one of the hotels in Accra. It was really nice and felt SOOOO good and refreshing. We have only been to a couple of the beaches here and the current is usually too strong to do any real swimming. In the evening we went to a club called Aphrodisiac where ladies get in for free on Saturdays. It was really nice, but expensive if you wanted to drink. Our friends are older, plus they are Canadian so their drinking age is different, if there even is one. They bought drinks that were 7 cedi which is like 5 dollars. The music was a little repetitive, but in Ghana there are only a few songs that are played over and over again. Instead of hip-hop they have hiplife. But hiplife is not as widespread so there are only a few artists and songs. Most of the music played is usually American music. It was fun, but tiring and the music got boring. As soon as I got home I was knocked out, but I won’t mention what time that was. : )


Tuesday, her actual birth day we are going to Tandoor again, the Indian restaurant we went to awhile back. It should be good!!
